In the increasingly competitive e-commerce logistics landscape, efficient warehouse management and logistics operations have become key to market success. The Jingdezhen Ceramic Cultural Tourism E-commerce Warehouse, located in the "Porcelain Capital" of Jingdezhen, serves the e-commerce logistics needs for both standard and non-standard ceramic products. To address the significant challenges in storing and transporting ceramic products, Quicktron robots partnered with Nanjing Inform Storage Equipment Co.,LTD to customize an integrated, efficient "goods-to-person" automated solution, covering the entire automated operation process from standard product storage and individual item picking to efficient inbound and outbound operations.

"Goods-to-Person" Intelligent Transportation

In this project, Quicktron deployed 96 M100 transportation robots, covering the first-floor standard product storage area and the second-floor individual item picking area, supporting intelligent transportation throughout the entire process.

The M100 has a maximum load capacity of 1000kg and an operational speed of 1.5m/s. Combined with its precise path planning and obstacle avoidance technology, it achieves efficient transportation even when fully loaded, ensuring stable and safe transport operations.

1, First Floor Standard Product Area: Efficient Heavy-Load Transportation Operations

The first-floor e-commerce warehouse is mainly for complete sets of standard products, equipped with 503 sets of standard single-layer pallet racks, 2 automated inbound points for the automated storage and retrieval system, manual empty pallet handling points, manual replenishment area, 6 outbound picking workstations, and robot charging areas. According to functional zones, it is divided into automated storage system connection area, storage area, empty pallet temporary storage area, outbound workstation area, and shipping buffer area.

  • Standard Product Automated Inbound: The stacker crane transports goods to the connection point, and the M100 receives the task to precisely transport the pallet to the designated storage area.
  • Standard Product Outbound and Picking: According to order instructions, robots transport shelves to picking workstations. After staff complete picking, shelves return to the storage area or are sent to the empty pallet area.

2, Second Floor Individual Item Picking Area: Flexible and Efficient Precise Operations

The second-floor e-commerce warehouse is mainly for individual item picking, equipped with 468 sets of multi-layer pallet racks for individual items, 8 outbound picking workstations, and 1 charging area. According to functional zones, it is divided into manual replenishment inbound area, storage area, outbound workstation area, packing area, and package delivery area.

  • Individual Item Replenishment: The M100 transports shelves to the manual replenishment area according to instructions, and precisely places shelves back into storage after completion.
  • Individual Item Picking: Robots transport target shelves to workstations, where staff complete product picking according to electronic label prompts, improving picking efficiency and accuracy.

Quicktron's Solution for Transporting Fragile Items

  • Safety and Stability: M100 robots use high-precision obstacle avoidance technology and AI scheduling algorithms to avoid sudden stops, sharp turns, and high-acceleration operations during movement, ensuring smooth transportation and reducing the risk of ceramic damage. This ensures the stability of finished ceramic products in vertical storage, preventing tipping and collapse.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Ceramic products have high requirements for storage temperature and humidity. The M100's stable operation in 0-45° warehouse temperatures, combined with the warehouse management system's ability to adjust storage areas in real-time, effectively avoids environmental damage to ceramic products.
  • Collaborative Efficiency Improvement: Quicktron's RCS seamlessly connects with the customer's WMS. The M100 quickly interfaces with peripheral equipment such as stacker cranes, spiral elevators, roller conveyors, chain conveyors, and automated sorting systems, enabling seamless collaboration to complete the entire process from inbound to outbound operations, improving overall warehouse efficiency.

The successful acceptance of Quicktron's Jingdezhen e-commerce warehouse "goods-to-person" project has optimized the client's storage processes, integrated logistics links, reduced labor costs, and improved overall logistics efficiency. Particularly in the shelf transportation of standard and non-standard ceramic products, it provided a fast, safe, and precise automated solution. Quicktron will continue to help enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency, achieving comprehensive upgrades in intelligent transformation.
